The Parents Farms
They are located in the Bzebdin and Shiriata regions, and they produce an average rate of 20 million hatching eggs per year. The eggs are daily sterilized to the isolated incubators in Eddeh in Jbeil County.Every truck is washed, sterilized and shipped before it enters. Employees and workers also wear sterilized suits before entering the farm and beginning the work.
The Incubating Process
The eggs
are sterilized for the second time so that the chicks come out and germ-free.
Then, they are put in the incubators for 18 days and are automatically kept
at the same temperature of the vnaturally incubating hen.
Afterwards, the eggs are transferred from the incubators to saty in the hatching
machines for three days. Then the chicks come out healthy and clean, i.e germ
free.
This phase takes 21 days, which is exactly the same period of time the domestic
hen needs to hatch chicks.Productivity reaches 500 000 chicks per week. The
Chicks are daily shipped in special equipped trucks to the farms. They are
of two types: those bred for producing eggs for consumption,, and those bred
for direct consumption.
